Monica Park is a talented flutist with a passion for music and a natural gift for creating beautiful sounds. She has won multiple awards including the New York Flute Competition, Friday Woodmere Club Young Artists Competition, Purchase Concerto Competition, the New York Artists International Competition, and the New York International Music Competition.
She is currently pursuing her Masters in Music at NYU Steinhardt under Park Soo Kyung and received the Music & Performing Arts Professions Departmental Scholarship. She received her Bachelor of Music from the Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase with the highest distinction. There, she studied closely with Tara Helen O’Connor. She attended the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, specializing in music. Her other teachers include Nadine Hur, Anna Urrey, and Keith Underwood.
Monica formed a chamber group, Lieblich Trio, with her peers during her time at SUNY Purchase. They won both the New York International Grand Prix Competition and International Youth Music Competition.
